I’m not going to kid you - Napa has gotten really expensive. The days free or cheap wine tasting have been replaced with tasting fees that make The French Laundry look like a good deal. $35 to $50 per person is the new normal and it’s not unusual to find tasting fees over $100 per person. That’s a lot of money when you figure you’ll visit 4 wineries a day.
But there is still a way to do Napa on a budget. I’ve found the cheapest wine tasting as of 2024 and put them on the list below. And pay attention because some of these will even give you 2 for 1 discounts if you have a Priority Wine Pass.

Duckhorn Winery’s second label called Paraduxx is much more affordable but arguably just as delicious. It feels fancy here but tastings are just $35 per person and only 30 minutes or so making this perfect if you want just one more!

Pope Valley Winery looks the same as it did over 100 years ago. Off the beaten path with incredible wines, a rustic country setting, and immense picnic grounds. One of my favorite wineries even if they didn’t have a deal.
